Privacy Policy
What we collect when you visit our website, play on our server or join our Discord, and what we do with it.
1. Who we are
BumbleMC ("we", "us") is a Minecraft Skyblock server for Java and Bedrock Edition. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Our website
You don't need an account to use our website, and we don't use analytics or advertising cookies. A few things still happen when you visit:
- Hosting: the site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic browser information to deliver the page and protect it against attacks, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
- Fonts: our font (Montserrat) is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with them.
- Live server status: to show the player count, your browser asks the free service mcsrvstat.us whether our server is online.
- Discord member count: your browser asks Discord how many members our Discord has.
- Your Java/Bedrock choice is remembered in your own browser (local storage) so you don't have to pick it again. It never leaves your device and you can clear it anytime by clearing your browser data.
3. The Minecraft server
When you join the server we automatically collect:
- Your account details: your Minecraft username and UUID. Bedrock players: your Xbox gamertag and Xbox user ID, which Geyser and Floodgate use to let you join.
- Your IP address: to enforce bans, stop alt accounts and protect the server against attacks.
- Chat messages and commands: saved in our server logs so staff can handle reports, appeals and rule breaks.
- Gameplay data: things like your island, inventory, balances, ranks, stats, quests, votes and playtime. Without this the game simply can't work.
- Punishment records: warnings, mutes and bans, with the reason.
When you vote for us on a server list website, that website sends us your username so we can give you your reward. The vote site's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on their site.
4. Our Discord
Discord's own privacy policy covers your use of Discord. Our Discord bot additionally stores:
- Account links: if you choose to link your accounts with /link, we store your Discord user ID together with your Minecraft UUID and username. We use it to give you the Discord roles that match your rank and to set your nickname. You can remove it anytime with /unlink in-game or on Discord.
- Support tickets: when you close a ticket, a transcript of its messages is saved in a staff-only channel and sent to you by direct message, so we can look back at earlier issues.
5. Store purchases
Our store is run by CraftingStore, and payments are processed by their payment providers (such as PayPal or Stripe). We never see your full card or bank details.
From each purchase we receive what we need to deliver it and handle problems: your Minecraft username, what you bought, the price, the date and the transaction ID. Depending on the payment method, we may also receive your name, email address and country, for example for fraud checks and tax.
6. Why we use your data
Under data protection law (GDPR) we need a reason, or "legal basis", for each use:
- To provide the server and your purchases (performance of a contract): your account, gameplay and purchase data.
- To keep the server safe and fair (legitimate interest): IP addresses, logs, chat and punishment records.
- To meet legal duties (legal obligation): keeping purchase records for tax and accounting.
- Because you chose to (consent): linking your Discord account. You can withdraw this anytime by unlinking.
7. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We only share it with services that help us run BumbleMC, and only what they need:
- our server hosting provider, which stores the server and its data;
- Cloudflare (website hosting) and Google Fonts;
- CraftingStore and its payment providers (purchases);
- Discord (our community and bot);
- Mojang/Microsoft, which check your account when you log in, as they do on every server.
Some of these companies are based outside the European Economic Area, such as in the United States. In that case they protect your data with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect players or the server against fraud and abuse.
8. How long we keep it
- Gameplay data is kept while the server runs, so your progress is still there when you come back. Ask us and we'll delete it.
- Server logs (including chat and IP addresses) are kept only as long as needed for moderation and appeals, normally no longer than 90 days.
- Punishment records are kept as long as the punishment applies, plus a reasonable time after it in case it is appealed or repeated.
- Account links are kept until you unlink.
- Ticket transcripts are kept for up to one year.
- Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires, which can be up to 7 years.
9. Your rights
If you live in the EU, the UK or a country with similar laws, you have the right to:
- see the data we have about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data. We may keep some data when we have to, such as purchase records for tax, or ban records to stop someone from simply coming back;
- object to or restrict how we use your data;
- withdraw consent, for example by unlinking your Discord account;
- complain to your national data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.
To use any of these rights, contact us by opening a support ticket on our Discord. We may ask you to prove the account is yours, for example by typing a code in-game, and we'll reply within one month.
10. Children
Many of our players are young. We only collect the data needed to run the game, and we don't knowingly collect anything more from children. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian before buying anything in our store or linking your Discord account. Parents who believe their child shared data with us can contact us, and we'll help.
11. Changes & contact
We may update this policy when the server or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we'll announce big changes on our Discord.
